2nd International fieldtrip of Project Management in Construction program to Australia
AIT Project Management in Construction program was successfully organized an fiedltrip to Australia for MPM students in Myanmar during 27 June to 05 July 2015. This trip allowed students to experience the world and the global community, as well as networking opportunities with goverment organization and popular construction companies there.
Myanmar group of students visited Sydney
Program was designed for 3 official visits and sightseeing time at 3 big cities of Australia including Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney.
The first meeting with Transport for New South Wales (NSW) to learn how the goverment organization manages construction projects constructed by the contractors, brought many fruitful experience in public section. Goverment officers were sharing about how NSW goverment build, manage, and operate public infrastructure system for NSW.

Next, MPM students felt very interesting and learnt many techniques and experience with a visit to the Barangaroo South construction site in Sydney, Australia.
Barangaroo is an AU$6 billion urban regeneration project in the heart of the Sydney Central Business District. Upon completion, Barangaroo will provide state of the art sustainable office space for 23,000 workers, approximately 1,000 new residential apartments, Australia’s first 6 star hotel resort and over 90 retail outlets. It will also be Australia’s first large scale carbon neutral precinct. The precinct is anticipated to draw 18 million visitors from around the globe every year.

The 3rd visit at Meinhardt Australia Pty Ltd to their head office and one of their completed project - Mariott Pier One hotel at Sydney – Meinhardt did both Structural and Building Services major upgrade a few years ago. Site is right next to Sydney Harbor Bridge and is close to CBD.

This international fieldtrip is one of main part of Professional Master program of Project Management in Construction, offers by Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand, launched in Vietnam (Ho Chi Minh city, Hanoi, Vung Tau, Can Tho and An Giang) and Myanmar. This is the first and most reputation graduated program in the region about project Management in Construction. With very strong networking from AIT alumni and partners all over the world, annually, MPM program organizes international trips to Thailand, Taiwan, Korea, Japan, Australia or other countries.
