MPM short discussion on Sustainability of Hyundai E&C\'s Research & Development
The Professional Master in Project Management in Construction (MPM) has been collaborating with Hyundai E&C Korea to successfully organize a short discussion about the Sustainability of Hyundai E&C's Research and Development for MPM current students, Alumni, partners and other sectors on Saturday, 26/07/2014 in AITVN campus.
Being MPM's guest speaker, Dr. Lee Such Hong - Director of Research & Development Division, Hyundai E&C Korea has shared his professional experience and knowledge on sustainability development of his current sector. The seminar has received the interest from nearly 40 participants coming from so many companies, public and private organizations, government offices, universities etc.
As his mentioned presentation on the seminar, sustainability development is a new trend of construction industry. And the research & developement (R&D) sector is believed to crucially achieve its sustainability in multi-dimensions. Construction R&D plays an important role in improving the social, environmental and economic performance of the company. To play that role, the R&D division is focusing on researches that will solve the world-wide sustainability issues such as: Urbanization, Energy, Water scarcity, Environmental Pollution and Resource scarcity. Moreover, the R&D division is attempting to widen and strengthen the global network through numerous joint research programs to actively collaborate on solving global issues as well as to increase technical capacity.
