Training on Project Management for Low Cost Construction Building projects (Bangkok, Thailand)
Asian Institute of Technology in Vietnam (AIT-VN) has successfully organized a training cum study tour program on "Project Management for Low Cost Construction Building Projects" for key project management staff of Ricons company, one of the leading company in real estate and construction in Vietnam. The course was conducted in Bangkok and nearby provinces in Thailand from 30-31 Mar 2017.

This course was aimed to share practical knowledge and experience in construction technology, material and methods for low cost buildings. Moreover, participants were introduced strategy development and quality function deployment analysis to determine what should be accomplished to satisfy customers in cost efficient building projects.
Lecture was given by Mr. Krit, Director of Housing Development Studies Department, National Housing Authority, Thailand.
In addition, some site visits were organized for participants to have opportunity to discuss and share experience with project representatives. For instance, Baan Eua-Arthorn project for providing standard residential quarters for disadvantaged, low-income earners, junior civil servants and government employees; Factory of Precast concrete, a new technology was used to support the higher consumer’s demand in property; and Plum condo project to serve middle-to-low income residents.

Participants are young, talented, and enthusiastic key staff from various departments of Ricons, such as Site manager, Site supervisor, SHE manager, Deputy general director, M&E director, Project director, Project manager, costing and bidding manager, contract manager, etc.
After finishing the course, participants highly appreciated valuable experiences shared throughout the program. Course content and methodology was highly evaluated and meet participant’s expectation.
